Battle of the Bands 2009 took place at Internationella Kunskapsgymnasiet, 5th of March. It was an amazing day and all the groups were extremely talented. The judges had a really hard time picking the winners, but here they are: First Prize: Nacka- group Yes I'm Svetlana, Clara Uddman (Guitar/Vocal) Beatrice Rundström (Bass/Vocal) Lina lindberger (Drums) Performing an original song, this group of girls had all the right moves and a very catchy song.Second Prize:
IKG Linn Adredal (Vocals) Johnathan Olsson (Guitar) Kalle Nyman (Bass) Rikard Drugge (Drums) This group was our first prize winners from 2008 and once again proved their amazing talent and Linn's wonderful vocals and songwriting ability.
Third Prize:
Nacka Sam Schillström (Vocals) Hampus Back (Guitar) Tom Helgeson (Guitar) Johan Wallin (Drums) Anton Svensson (Bass) Doing their rendition of an Audioslave song this group was moving and powerful!

IKG: Rikard Drugge (Drums)
Janne Schaffer our special guest-star judge, performed a few stunning songs with Brian Kramer Band showing us why he is Sweden's top guitarist, And presented our winners with flowers and an autographed copy of his CD.
Our 1st and 2nd place winners (as well as other selected students) will have the opportunity to perform their songs at a Benefit Concert raising funds for the Garissa Project in Kenya at Club Stampen, May 3rd.
Once again, thanks to all who participated, prepaired, and made this event a success. We will definitely be having this event again next year!
